amish friendship bread

I recently recieved a starter for amish friendship bread. I made it once and i love it! does anyone have any ideas on flavors and such to add to the bread? I was thinking of trying a banana and chocolate one. or maybe just all chocolate :) any advice??

looking for some good interesting reading? I would recommend The Prodigal God. It causes lots of thinking and reflection and Tim Keller, the author, makes very convicting points. Absolutely worth the read.

what I'm listening to....

these days i absolutely cannot get enough of Matt Nathanson. his song Wedding Dress has been stuck in my head for the past few days. it's beautiful and romantic in the way many songs have forgotten. definitely give this guy a listen! come on get higher is also addicting.

ikea!!

i love ikea. just love it. i was shopping there the other day and got some amazing deals. i was in Sweden this past summer and saw a store there. i was excited. one of the things i purchased was a package of wall stickers. i got the green tree one. i was a bit skeptical at first but they weren't very expensive so i thought i would give them a try. i put them up in my bathroom. i thought the water from showers would make it peel off but so far it's stayed on! look at these cute designs and let me know what you think!

Food!

the other day i was cooking dinner and came up with some new ideas, new for me at least. first i filled peppers with pesto sauce then broiled them in the oven. i also made chicken breasts cooked in white wine, a little butter, and an italian salad dressing mix, and red pepper zest. everything came out so so good! anyone have some good easy recipe ideas? i love to hear new ones!

LG Shine

Today i am going to costco to get a new phone. I currently have an A737 and it served me well for a few months however it no longer charges and the back barely stays on. I really haven't even abused it all that much. So the Shine is my new choice. Luckily my contract just ended. Does anyone have the Shine now? I'd love to hear some reviews or feedback on it. Also, has anyone experienced problems like mine with an A737?? Thank you! :)

Paul Newman

Paul Newman is one of my all time favorite actors. I think he may even be at the top of my list. From The Exodus to The Sting he melted my heart clean away. Those blue blue eyes.....I'll admit that i shed a little tear the day he died. But I am keeping his spirit alive through movies and salad dressing :) anyone else with me??

Tea!

Who loves tea?! I do! I am a faithful drinker. I was in South Carolina over New Years and was introduced to a little shop called The Tea Junction. They have a huge selection of tea and pots and china. They even provide tea smoothies and other drinks. I purchased a white tea called Snow Buds. I haven't tried it yet, but it smells delicious. I also got one called Cocoa Twist. That's right, it's chocolate tea. I can't say I absolutely love it, but it is definitely growing on me! Anyone else ever been to this shop?

Etsy is a website where anyone can buy or sell handmade items. The site is packed with things from clothes to jewelry to paintings to wedding invitations. I came across some adorable hats and scarves all at very affordable prices!

I love all things Anthropologie. If you have never checked out the website do it now! They have beautiful clothes and things for your home. here aren't too many shops around, at least not near me, but the website is always available. Take a look at Tsome of these dresses and coats that i especially love!
